Bonding to Silicone Rubber

We dip a wide range of fabrics to bond to peroxide curing silicone rubber. All our dips are water-based and provide an excellent alternative to traditional solvent treatments.

Glass fabrics – Our Compotex PS system is a water-based treatment that gives excellent adhesion between glass and silicone rubber. We also have experience of using dyes in the treatment – so the fabric is coloured and treated at the same time.

Silica fabrics – for high performance high temperature resistant parts that are faced with silicone rubber.

Aramid fabrics – we offer fabric treatments based on silane chemistry which is ideal for meta-aramid fabrics to bond to silicone rubber.

Polyester fabrics – our Compotex PS system is a water-based treatment that gives excellent adhesion between polyester and silicone rubber.

Our normal fabric width for treatments to bond to silicone rubber is up to 1900 mm.

Customers can request a production trial service of lengths of fabric from about 10 metres.
